The President’s Nominee as the New Municipal Chief Executive of the Nzema East Municipal Assembly (NEMA) has been confirmed with a 100-percent-vote, 37 out of 37 votes, at the Nzema East Assembly Hall on Wednesday, 16th April, 2025. The Nzema East Municipal Electoral Commission, led by the Municipal Electoral Officer, Mrs. Abigail Akins, she conducted the exercise of the Presiding Member election and the confirmation of the Municipal Chief Executive.
The Hon. MCE and Hon. PM took the oaths of office, allegiance and secrecy, administered by Western Regional Minister, Honorable Joseph Nelson and Her Worship Awo-Amissah French, the District Magistrate for the Municipality.
Hon. Herbert Dickson Kuah, the MCE confirmed, expressed immense gratitude to the President for considering and nominating him to serve in this high office and assured the residents of his determination to advance the development of the Municipality from where his predecessors left off.
He said, ‘’I would like to take this opportunity to thank the President of the Republic for nominating me and also to My Assembly Members, I thank them very much and I promise that we will be working together to make Evalue Ajomoro Gwira Constituency and Nzema East Municipality very peaceful’’.
Among the dignitaries at the meeting were: Western Regional Minister, Honourable Joseph Nelson , The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira Constituency, Honourable Kofi Arkoh Nokoe, Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD) Mr. Emmanuel Kwasi Asamoah, All Hon. Assembly Members of the Nzema East Municipal Assembly, All District Security Agencies , All Stakeholders and All Heads of Department/Units of the Nzema East Municipal Assembly.
