The Nzema East Municipal joined in the celebration of 37th edition of the National Farmers’ Day at a short ceremony at Nsein on Friday 3rd December, 2021.

The Theme for this year’s celebration is Planting for Food and Jobs – Consolidating Food Systems in Ghana. In attendance was the Member of Parliament for Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira Constituency, Hon. Municipal Chief Executive and Paramount Chiefs from Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira traditional areas.

The MCE in her opening remarks commended farmers and fishermen in the Nzema East Municiplaity for living above the coronavirus pandemic disruption to the farming season and continuously putting food on the table for the Nzema East Municipality.

Farmers who came up as the best in the year of review received various gifts as a way of appreciation and motivation for their good work done.
