In reference to the letter from the office of the president with reference number OPS/127/25/18 on 8th January, 2025. In accordance with the powers vested in H.E John Mahama under the provisions of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936) as amended by the Local Governance (Amendment) Act, 20217 (Act 940). The mandate of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) and all appointed assembly members were revoked, the Municipal Coordinating Director was further directed to act in the absence of the former MCE.
The handing over ceremony was organized on Monday, 13th January, 2025 at the Assembly conference hall. In attendance were:
1. Hon. Eric Essien, the former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE)
2. Mr. Emmanuel Kwasi Asamoah, the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD)
3. Rt. Hon. Emmnuel Ndah Kwofie Persiding Member (PM)
4. Hon. Kofi Arko Nokoe, the Member of Parliament (MP)
5. All the District Heads of Departments (HOD’s)
6. All the District Security Commanders and,
7. The Constituency executives and party faithful of the NDC
