The Municipal Chief executive of Nzema East, Hon Dorcas Elizabeth Amoah today, made a donation of Ghc2000 to Madam Lydia Mensah at Anto-Brawire, a suburb of Axim to support her to revamp her fish mongering business after her fish smoking shed got burnt in January this year. It will be recalled that early this year, fire engulfed her shed with 10 smoking ovens in the night. With the support of the neighbors and the stationed Fire Service personnel, the fire was put off without it spreading to surrounding sheds and buildings.
The MCE was accompanied by the Presiding Member of the assembly who happens to be the assembly member of the area, personnel from the Municipal Assembly, the NADMO coordinator and some Party Executives Executives in the the Electoral Area. Hon MCE advised Madam Lydia and other fish mongers present to be careful in dealing with fire and desist from keeping gallons of premix in their sheds to prevent any possible fire outbreak.
Madam Lydia thanked the Hon MCE and her team for their support and promised to use the money wisely to improve her fish smoking business so as to be able to bounce back to where she was.
