NZEMA EAST MARKS 69TH INDEPENDENCE DAY

The Nzema East Municipal Assembly (NEMA) has commemorated the 69th Independence Day celebration with a clean-up exercise at Axim township. The Municipal Chief Executive called on the people especially the youth to embrace environmental sanitation to contribute to national development through a clean up exercise in their communities.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Herbert Kuah Dickson, urged Ghanaians to see Independence not just as a historical achievement but as a call to shared responsibility to build a better nation.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for “Evalue- Ajomoro-Gwira Constituency”, Hon. Kofi Arko Nokoe, also encouraged students to remain focused on their education. He stressed that the future of Ghana depends on their discipline, dedication and hard work to build the nation we aspired.
In attendance were the Paramount Chief for Lower Axim, His Royal Majesty, Awulae Attibukusu III, The Church of Pentecost Brawire District Pastor Amewunde, Assembly Staff, Personnel from the security services, students from Axim Girls Senior High School, Axim Technical Institute and Kwame Nkrumah Senior High School as well as youth groups, staff of Public.
The event formed part of activities across the country to mark the 69th Independence Day Anniversary of the nation, Ghana.
