The Nzema East Municipal Assembly commitment to ensuring that Person’s living with Disabilities (PWDs) within its boundaries have access to the resources and support they need to thrive has purchased and disbursed items that will aid beneficiaries engage in income generating activities.The program includes distribution of Chest Freezers, Solo spraying machines, Hair Dryers Fufu Pounding Machine and Baking Oven as well as educational support to PWD’s in various educational training The disbursement is intended to provide financial assistance to PWDs, addressing their critical areas such as education, vocational training, and entrepreneurship. Funds are allocated transparently and equitably, ensuring that beneficiaries receive timely and adequate support. By empowering PWDs, we aim to promote inclusion, independence, and equal opportunities. The disbursement was done on 13th November 2024 at Assembly premises.
In attendance were: The Honourable Municipal Chief Executive, The Municipal Coordinating Director, The Municipal Finance Officer, The Head and Staff of Social Welfare and Community Development, The Head and Staff of Municipal Management Information System, all Heads of Departments and Units as well as functional Executives of Person’s with Disability.
