GHANA ANTI-CORRUPTION COALITION (GACC) ENGAGES MANAGEMENT OF NZEMA EAST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY (NZEMA)

The Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition engaged the Management of Nzema East Municipal Assembly on Wednesday, 5th February, 2025 at the Assembly’s Conference Hall to ascertain information on some government projects undertaken in the municipality. GACC aimed to fight corruption in the country in collaboration with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

The purpose of the engagement was to monitor Government sponsored projects in five (5) Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assembly which Nzema East Municipal Assemblybmj is one. Also to find out the involvement and participation of Nzema East Municipal Assembly and beneficiary communities in the planning, awarding of contracts and implementation of some identified projects. Some identified projects by GACC with data from the government includes; rehabilitation of Agona Nkwanta-Elubo road, Sea defense at Axim and other projects.

In attendance were: The Municipal Coordinating Director, Heads of Departments and a five (5) member team of GACC.
