The Nzema East Municipal Assembly Justice and Security Sub-Committee held its 2nd Quarter Meeting on Wednesday 17th of August, 2023 at the Assembly Conference Room, Axim to assess the general stands of security in the Municipality.
The purpose of the meeting was for the various Committees of Sector Commanders of the respective security agencies to brief the committee on the state of security in the Municipality.
The Committee, also deliberated on the frequent power cut in the municipality, illegal mining activities and strategies to combat the operators, Intensification of Police Patrol exercise in the Municipality and Revision and enforcement of the Assembly Bye-laws.
In attendance were Hon Peter Egyir, Hon. Francis Amoakah, ACP Richard Akorli Divisional Crime Officer, Mr. Ishmael Lartey, ACP Isaac K. Sorkpor, Divisional Police Commander, DSI Emmanuel Adams, Ghana Immigration Service, Mr. Samuel Y. Dzodzegbe CHRAJ, Madam Joana Akoto-Asiama Judicial Service, Municipal Information Officer and Electoral Commission Officer.
