The Lower Axim Traditional Council held a meeting on Thursday, 28th May 2026, at the Paramountcy Palace Conference Hall, Axim. The meeting was under the auspices of Awulae Attibrikusu III, the president of the Lower Axim Traditional Council.
His Royal Majesty expressed concern on illegal mining activities causing environmental havoc, unauthorized physical development in the municipality, abandoned landing beach project, deplorable state of Tuesday Market, and environmental sanitation. He called on all stakeholders to addressed the identified issues which need a wholesome approach.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Herbert Kuah Dickson, commended the Paramount Chief for his concern towards the development of the entire municipality, not only his traditional area alone. He assured the council that, the Assembly has taken keen notice and concern on all issues disclosed.
The Municipal Chief Executive added that, the Assembly and the member of Parliament as well as all stakeholders will collaborate to find lasting solutions to the identified.
