The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Emmanuel Kwasi Asamoah, the Municipal Social Welfare & Community Development Director (Mr. Prince Nii Lomotey Tagoe) and together with some officers from the Assembly donated cash and other items to Persons with Disability (PWDs) on 20th December, 2023 at the Nzema East Municipal Assembly Forecourt. The purpose for the disbursement was to support some PWDs within the Municipality to enable them start their own business and earn some income for themselves and their families.

The Municipal Coordinating Director, in his speech said that the Assembly’s efforts to enhance the lives of those with disabilities included was upmost priority. In addition, he urged them to stand by one another. In his closing remarks, he said there should a tight oversight of the materials supplied and funds released would be implemented to guarantee effective utilization of the materials.

There were distribution of Chest freezers, fufu machines, sewing machines, hair drier, Solo spraying machine and financial supports (Cash)
