The Municipal Chief Executive of the Nzema East Municipal Assembly, Hon. Frank Okpenyen on Wednesday, 17th February, 2021 embarked on a free government school uniform distribution exercise to selected schools in the Municipality.

The over 350 school uniforms were distributed to pupils of Brawire Akyinim M/A JHS, Awulae Agyefi JHS at Nsein and Kegyina M/A JHS all in the Nzema East Municipality. 

Hon. Okpenyen in a separate address to the beneficiary schools, advised the pupils to take their studies seriously for the betterment of their future. He further promised the pupils that he would award an undisclosed cash prize to students who would excel in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

He also admonished them to strictly comply with the COVID-19 protocols i.e. wearing nose masks, practice social distancing and wash their hands with soap under running water to safeguard their health.
