The Social Welfare and Community Development Department of the Nzema East Municipal Assembly organized an entrepreneuring and skill training programme for Persons with Disability in the Nzema East Municipal. The main purpose of the skill training programme is to build the capacities of persons living with all forms of disability to become financially independent and, or build the capacities of parents of children with disability to fully support their disabled children with ease. Mr. Francis Ablorde, the trainer took participants through entrepreneurial skills such as product branding, customer relations, records keeping and savings.
A total of sixty (60) Persons with Disabilities participated in the skill training program, twenty-five (25) were females and thirty-five males. Their disability types includes: fifty-four (54) physically challenged, five (5) deaf and one (1) blind respectively. The table below shows the list of the participants names, types of disability, community and type of training received.
