On the 1st of September, 2026, the Municipal Chief Executive of Nzema East Municipal Assembly, Hon. Herbert Kuah Dickson commissioned and handed over a fully completed and resourced CHPS Compound to the chiefs and people of Apataim.
The MCE was supported by the Member of Parliament for the Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira Constituency, Hon. Kofi Arko Nokoe and the Municipal Health Director, Mr. Emmanuel Adongo.
The Municipal Health Director used the occasion to thank the Municipal Assembly, the Member of Parliament and the Regional Health Director for their support in promoting health in the Municipality. He assured the gathering that, as health is a universal human right and everyone needs quality healthcare, the Directorate is committed to the full and maximum operationalization of the facility to ensure quality health delivery to the people.
The Municipal National Health Insurance Authority also used the opportunity to educate the people on the benefit of NHIS and the need for everyone to register to access quality basic health care at the barest minimum cost.
The Chiefs, elders and the people of Apataim community and its environs expressed their gratitude to the Assembly for completing the health facility which commenced over ten years ago.
