INAGURATION OF MUNICIPAL DISASTER MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE (MDMC) AND VOLUNTEER RESCUE TEAM (MVRT)
The Municipal Disaster Management Committee and Volunteer Rescue Team of the Nzema East Municipal Assembly has been inaugurated by the Western Regional National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Director, Mr. Daniel Darlington Atitso on 11th June, 2026, at the Assembly’s Conference Room, Axim.
The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Pius Kwame Sam Obosu, the Municipal NADMO Director and Secretary to the Municipal Disaster Management Committee.
Hon. Herbert Kuah Disckson, the Municipal Chief Executive and Chairman of the Management Committee commended the personnel of the Nzema East NADMO Secretariat for their unrelenting dedication to duty, which he described as unprecedented. The MCE pledged his support towards prevention and management of disaster within the Municipality.
The NADMO Regional Director urged the staff, committee members, and rescue team to give their best towards disaster prevention, preparedness, and management.
The Municipal Chief Executive expressed appreciation to NADMO Regional Director for the exercise. He finally thanked the Municipal NADMO Secretariat for supporting Nsein Community with a mechanized borehole through the Government of Ghana and the African Risk Capacity Assessment Programme (2026).
