THE NZEMA EAST MUNICIPAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE (MCE) IN COLLABORATION WITH THE MUNICIPAL EDUCATION DIRECTORATE DISTRIBUTES LEARNING MATERIALS TO KG1 AND CLASS 1 PUPILS IN SOME SELECTED SCHOOLS IN THE NZEMA EAST MUNICIPALITY.

The Nzema East Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), in collaboration with the Nzema East Municipal Education Directorate, on Tuesday, 8th September, 2026, embarked on a monitoring exercise across some selected schools in the municipality to assess turnout on my first day at school.

The exercise follows the nationwide directives by the Ministry of Education for all basic schools to reopen on 8th September, 2026.
During the monitoring, the MCE directed one of the Assistant Director to lead in the distribution of the learning materials to the pupils. The items distributed include exercise books, pencils, sharpeners, and erasers to the newly entered (KG1) entrants and Class one (1) pupils who were present at school on the first day of reopening.

The initiative is aimed at motivating the pupils and encouraging full attendance at the start of the academic term.

The Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with the Municipal Education Directorate, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting education and ensuring that all school children in the municipality have access to quality basic learning materials.
In light of the above, these were the few schools visited by the team;
Axim Angelic Primary, Dadwen M/A Primary, Averbo Primary, Axim Methodist KG/Basic, Agona Ewuku Basic, Aguafo KG and Awulae Agyefi Kwame Methodist School-Nsein.
